Nostradamus Collective
The Nostradamus Collective is a new platform for decision-makers and systemic thinkers within the audiovisual industries, aimed at driving innovation and shaping resilient industry structures through collaboration, insight-sharing, and strategic dialogue.
Launched by the Göteborg Film Festival, the Collective builds on over a decade of work by the Nostradamus initiative, which since 2013 has offered forward-looking analysis of the audiovisual landscape. Through annual reports, seminars, and expert interviews, Nostradamus has influenced policy and industry strategy across Europe and beyond.
Now, the Collective takes this work further—creating a year-round community for sharing intelligence, fostering cross-sector dialogue, and co-developing solutions to shared challenges. With a focus on collective responsibility and systemic change rather than individual competition, the platform invites industry leaders to explore what’s next—together.
In 2024, the Nostradamus Collective began a key collaboration with BoostHBG, an innovation and talent-development hub based in southern Sweden. BoostHBG brings deep experience in community-building and creative sector transformation, and is a vital partner in developing the Collective’s ongoing programme.
The Collective's debut session took place at the Göteborg Film Festival 2025, where 30 producers, broadcasters, sales agents, film funders, and festival leaders joined a closed-door session to discuss urgent strategic questions.
In April 2025, the Collective hosted an experimental workshop during the ACE Producers alumni meeting in Zagreb, where around 100 producers explored future-proof film production models focused on collaboration and shared knowledge. The session received strong feedback and contributed to shaping the platform’s ongoing methodology.
Looking ahead, upcoming Collective sessions include a Helsingborg in October, in collaboration with BoostHBG and at Audiovisual Days at Lindholmen Science Park in November 2025.
Throughout the year, the Nostradamus Collective will continue to engage with partners across Europe to expand and deepen this work.
